I am an Assistant Professor in the Communication, Culture and Technology Program at Georgetown University with a secondary appointment in the Department of Computer Science. My research interests might be broadly classified as Human-Computer Interaction with an emphasis on cognitive aspects of the design and use of computational systems. My most recent research focuses on what I refer to as multiscale design, the way interactive elements are built into spatial hierarchies, in the context of Mixed and Augmented Reality systems.
